EUGEN SUCIU (b. 1952) is a member of the Romanian Writers’ Union. His first published texts appear in the Caietul debutanţilor (Beginners’ Notebook, Albatros Publishing House, 1976). First debut volume is Bucuria anonimatului (The Joy of Oblivion), in 1979, awarded by the Albatros Publishing House. In 1991, he published Union Cinema, at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. Volumul Bucuria anonimatului (The Joy of Anonimity) is republished in 2011, at Semne Publishing House (artwork by Mircia Dumitrescu), accompanied by a CD (Mircea Tiberian). In 2011, he published the volume of poetry Motanul (The Tomcat, Cartea Românească Publishing House, including translations in German, French, and English by Gerhardt Csejka, Dinu Flămând and Florin Bican). In 2013, he published Ţeasta (The Skull, Tracus Arte Publishing House, Poetry Book of the Year 2013 Award granted by the Romanian Writers’ Union).

The Festival of the Centennial Nations’ Capitals takes place between 10-17 September in Bucharest. A one of a kind festival in which theatre, poetry, music, exhibitions and conferences will bring us all together in a wonderful celebration, FCNC 2018!
