The concept at the core of the exhibition is to recreate a personal journey of each of the invited artists through both the themes presented and the techniques used. The subjective themes are brought together by the prevailing concepts of freedom and freedom of speech as essential values of Europe.
From an aesthetic point of view, the artists selected here are exclusively contemporary ones, despite the cultural and artistic phenomena of the last century being an intrinsic part of the becoming of each nation, precisely in order to facilitate an active dialogue, a bridge, not just between art objects but also between people. This project gathers multidisciplinary works, ranging from classical ones (engravings, aquarelle, painting and sculpture) to the new media (photo-video, animation, installations), belonging to the following artists:
Arina Ailincăi (Romania), Aigars Bikše (Latvia),Teodor Buzu (Czech Republic), ZuZu Caratănase (Romania), Maja Demska (Poland), Manfred Egger (Austria), Alžběta Josefy (Estonia), Martin Kocourek (Czech Republic), Alena Kotzmannova (Czech Republic), Iurie Matei (Republic of Moldova), Dragoș Pătrașcu (Romania), Ghenadie Popescu (Republic of Moldova), Rimas Sakalauskas (Lithuania), Kristina Sereikaite (Lithuania), Mariana Ștefaneț (Republic of Moldova), Antal Vasarhelyi (Hungary).
