Martin C. PUTNA (1968) is a Czech literary critic and scholar in a wide range of subjects (Russian and Ukrainian Studies, Comparative Literature, Classical Studies, Modern Czech Catholic Literature), as well as an essayist. Former Head of the Václav Havel Library, he is currently Professor of Social and Cultural Anthropology at Charles University in Prague. He is the author of numerous books, including Václav Havel. A Spiritual Portrait in the Context of Twentieth-Century Czech Culture (2011), Chapters from the Cultural History of Russian Religion (2015), Chapters from the Cultural History of the Central Europe (2018).

The Festival of the Centennial Nations’ Capitals takes place between 10-17 September in Bucharest. A one of a kind festival in which theatre, poetry, music, exhibitions and conferences will bring us all together in a wonderful celebration, FCNC 2018!
