ZuZu CARATĂNASE (n. 1985, Tulcea), whose real name is Răzvan-Constantin Caratănase, holds a Ph.D. in Plastic and Decorative Arts (2015). He has taken part in around 40 solo exhibitions in Austria, Bulgaria, China, Germany, Israel, Italy, Republic of Moldova and Romania. He has participated in and has been invited to about 330 group exhibitions (salons, annual, biennial, triennial, etc.) in Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Spain, USA, Turkey and Ukraine. He has been a member of the Romanian Union of Plastic Artists (since 2010); member of Engravers Union in Budapest, Hungary (since 2014); member of Association des Artistes Peintres, Sculpteurs, Architectes, Graveurs et Dessinateurs, Paris, France (since 2015); member of Association Internationale des Arts Plastiques UNESCO, Paris, France (since 2017). His works have been included in 20 collections in museums in Bulgaria, Canada, China, France, Italy, Japan, Poland, Romania and Spain. He has been awarded several dozen prizes, medals and distinctions in competitions and events in many of the countries mentioned above.
